Solar PV Systems and Energy Storage: different solutions

Solar PV systems in Hungary offer a wide range of both brands and technology solutions. Our goal is to offer our customers the most efficient systems possible to meet their electricity needs while helping to protect our environment. In this article, we explain the differences between the various solar systems.

Let's start with the types of systems that can be deployed. Let's first look at conventional and stand-alone systems, then move on to battery and hybrid systems, and detail the energy storage and management methods used by different manufacturers.

Conventional Solar System: The operation of a conventional solar system is simple. The solar panels generate electricity, which is converted into alternating current by the inverter. The electricity produced is either used in the building's electrical grid or fed back into the grid. So the elements of the system are: solar panels, inverter, building electrical system, utility grid.

Island Solar PV System: An island solar system is completely independent from the grid connection and provides power, for example in the event of a complete power outage or in places where there is no utility power. The direct current generated by the solar panels is converted into alternating current and any unused electricity is stored in a battery for later use. This system offers the possibility of self-sufficiency, but it is important that sufficient battery capacity is available.

Battery-powered Solar System: A battery solar system is similar to a conventional system, but the battery also supplies power to the inverter, for example at night or when the solar panels are not producing enough. The batteries offer different control options for energy storage, such as self-consumption, grid feeding or time-based settings. A battery-powered system allows self-supply and cost-effective interaction with the electricity supplier.

Hybrid Solar System: The hybrid solar system works in both grid-connected and stand-alone mode. This means that it can supply power both from the grid connection and from the battery, for example in the event of a power failure. This system offers a more complex and flexible solution and guarantees power supply in different situations.

Energy Storage Solutions: When choosing a battery, there are important aspects to consider, such as warranty period, battery performance, efficiency, modular expandability and compatibility. Several manufacturers offer batteries on the market, such as Huawei, SolaX and Deye brands.

We offer various inverter and battery solutions such as Huawei, Deye and SolaX products. These systems have different benefits and capabilities and can be tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
